"Had a lockout problem in Jamaica Plain – at JPkids arts It was a basement door for a storage area. The Electronic pad & door knob was a Schlage from approximately 8 to 10 years ago and unfortunately, it worked properly until the batteries ran out – our bad & the lock stopped functioning. I was recommended to call City Locksmith and looked them up on Google and Ray the locksmith answered the phone immediately. He asked me to send him a picture of the door so he could assess it and possibly give me a price after he  saw a picture of the door and lock. After seeing the picture, he called me and said that the door is extremely tight and he could not give me a price because he could not be sure that he could gain entry without damaging the lock. He hope to get in without damage and perhaps save the lock and go from there. He arrived within 45 minutes He got the door opened without damaging the lock, which was a big deal . There after he took the lock apart, put a battery in and made sure that our code worked saving us a recoding fee. Given the work he did he charged us a reasonable price. Thanks Ray!"

"I lost a bunch of keys to my 3 bikes's locks last weekend and realized that I was missing the duplicate to a hefty U-lock that I've had for a number of years - one of the stronger ones. I knew I didn't have any key number (my bad) and was hoping Ray, locksmith, handled this sort of thing.And DID HE! Showed up about 1 hour after we talked on the phone and he went to work cutting at various points so that he could eventually remove it piecemeal and free the bike, an older ebike that my kids gave me when I turned 80 five years ago. This foldable e-bike had just been repaired by my son once he could get the parts, and I was so happy to have it back on the road again. When I replace the lock or any lock, I will make sure I keep the paperworK, right down the key numbers, etc. AND I would highly recommend this service!!!"
