"So I got locked out of my apartment. I do an internet search for a locksmith on my phone. He lives in Brookline so I give him a call. He picks up the phone at 6:30 PM on a Thursday. He tells me how much he is going to charge and I tell him I will call him back if my friend who has a copy of my key can’t help me. An hour or so later I call him back. He picks up the phone and tells me he’ll be there in 30 minutes. He arrives when he said he would. It took him a couple of minutes to pick the lock, no damage done to my door, frame or door knob. He informs me that the kind of locks I have are very easy to pick, that one can buy a tool on Amazon and pick the lock in no time. He says that he wants to replace them. The next day I looked on YouTube. Sure enough, anyone can easily pick the type of locks I have. He texts me on Friday and we set up an appointment for Saturday. He arrived on time, replaced both of my locks and was out in about 20 minutes. It wasn’t cheap but it seemed reasonable. I was happy that he was able to get me in so quickly on Thursday and I feel better now knowing that I have better locks. "This was my second time using Ray at RF Locks (for completely different things) and again he did great work with excellent service. The old deadbolt on our front door had come loose in multiple places, probably from poorly-fitting keys and a toddler jiggling at it all the time. I had expected to replace the deadbolt and get new keys (which would have meant doing the back door too), but Ray said our existing lock and keys (MulTlock, which are next to impossible to duplicate) were high quality and secure and it would cost a lot to replace with something comparable. Instead, he took the lock apart, cleaned and fixed everything, and reinstalled it, and now the lock looks and works like new and the keys turn smoothly. Great service and honest."

"Recently bought a new home, had many locks that needed to be changed, including some unusual ones from Europe. Ray came up with a plan that included installing modern push-button combination locks on several doors, then did the work on time, for a reasonable price, and neatly (work included some carpentry to install new locks on doors, etc). Subsequently responded quickly when one of my kids managed to jam something into a lock, and ensured everything was in good working order. A super professional business."

"He’s super creepy and forces you to write a 5star review which is why he has so many that sounds like they were all written by the same person. Him. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe being unable to change my review until after he left for fear he would do something to me. He said don’t mention prices and literally dictated my 5star review but the first time I got locked out it was $150(thought he said 75 on the phone) and the second time he was going to charge way more until I reminded him he said $75 for additizonal lockouts. He seems like he is on crack and only accepts cash (I doubt he reports any of it to the IRS). He scraped the door up pretty bad but at least he got it open so I’ll give him 2stars because I’m nice. Wouldn’t recommend for women, young people, or nighttime. Again, felt very uncomfortable and he is very creepy but at least he got my apartment door open."
